In this interview, our colleague Marie Janšová discusses the future of agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship in 2024. What significant changes to the Labour Code, especially the October and January amendments, have brought about for employees on agreements. She also highlights the most significant new developments, which include new rules on the scheduling and recording of working time, the regulation of obstacles to work, pay supplements and the new right to leave.
Marie also discusses the so-called consolidation package, which many employers see as a complication for performance agreements. The new rules for the insurance of work on a PPA have faced criticism for their complexity and administrative complexity.
In addition, it emphasises that most of the innovations in the Labour Code stem from EU legislation, which has made employers and employees used to flexible agreements relatively constrained.
